Battery maintenance ensures the optimal performance of a vehicle, but if you keep batteries running efficiently, you first need to know how they work.
Your battery uses chemical reactions to produce electrical current and provide voltage to the starter. That is how it keeps your car running.

The Nissan LEAF has been making waves since the first release of the series in 2010. It’s a five door, fully electric hatchback, and according to the EPA, the operational range of a fully charged battery is approximately 102 miles (172 km). The LEAF can reasonably be considered a powerful existence proof that affordable electric cars can be offered to the public. This is even more apparent when you learn that the battery, when fully depleted, can be charged to 80% of its full capacity in just 30 minutes using a DC fast-charging station.

There are certain technologies that save thousands of lives every year, making them priceless. Along with current standards like seatbelts and airbags, Nissan will very soon add automatic emergency braking to that list.

Ranked as the United States’ fastest-growing brand in 2016, Nissan recently announced the launch of “Midnight Edition” releases of six of its core models. Originally offered as an equipment package for the Maxima SR, the Midnight Edition is being rolled out to three Nissan sedans and three crossovers: Altima, Maxima, Sentra, Murano, Pathfinder and Rogue, and will feature a litany of features and an expanded array of exterior colors.

Nissan Vmotion 2.0 is a concept meant to propel the carmaker’s vehicles in a new stylistic and functional direction. It is referred to as “2.0” as the original V-motion design already hit the scene in the form of the Maxima and Murano. Let’s take a look at exactly what the new Vmotion concept entails for future Nissan vehicles.

A lot of car dealerships have come and gone in Daytona Beach, but one dealership that has stood the test of time, 25 years to be exact, is Daytona Nissan.
Nissan’s South East Regional Director Drew Starke was on hand to present owner Gary Yeomans with a 25-year plaque to commemorate the accomplishment. Mr. Yeomans is principal owner of multiple dealerships, having built a longstanding reputation in the area for fair dealing and excellence in customer service, which is a big part of what has allowed them to be a major force in the area.
A recent highlight for Daytona Nissan was its move to the south end of the Daytona Auto Mall. The move from its previous location at the north end of the Auto Mall made room for the Daytona Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM FIAT dealership’s truck facility, but also allowed the Nissan dealership to upgrade its facilities significantly, offering improvements to both the sales floor and service departments.
There’s only one way that any car dealership manages to stay in business for the long haul – they have to gain and keep local consumer trust by delivering on their promises consistently. Gary Yeomans’ Daytona Nissan has done that and continues to build trust with new and existing customers every day.
The bottom line is a local business needs repeat, lifelong valued customers. The only to keep that going as long as Daytona Nissan has, is to to build long-term relationships and treat every customer like our best customer

Today, carmakers are racing to integrate self-driving and semi-autonomous features in the vehicles. And it looks like Nissan is making a break to corner the market. Last month, Nissan announced that a new semi-autonomous system, called ProPilot, would be slowly introduced throughout the line-up, starting with the Serena van that will be released in Japan this year.

Last November, Nissan debuted the futuristic IDS Concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show. In addition to IDS’ state-of-the-art autonomous driving tech, the concept featured a 60kWh battery pack with a range of nearly 200+ miles.
Well, Nissan recently confirmed that the IDS’s battery pack is set to go into production, when the next-generation Nissan LEAF arrives in 2018.
We’re inviting all local parents and their children to join us for a fun afternoon of bicycle safety education during which we will fit all our younger visitors for bicycle helmets with our compliments.

Daytona Nissan would like to thank everyone who joined us for our First Responders Appreciation Event in celebration and support of those in our community who give their all for us every day. Read the rest of this entry »
